Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Bull****, Dallas is just as stoppable as any other team. They just didn't get it done. The Cowpunks are nothing special, it was a close game that went your way, this time. See you in the big coffin.

^ typical green-cool-aid drinking "turn off your brain" homer.

YOU CAN'T STOP THE BALL AND NEEDED TO STOP DALLAS AND DRIVE 80+ YARDS FOR A TD!

all in under 4 minutes

Real likely huh!

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

That''s why they should have gone for it on 4th and 11!!!!!

Stopping Dallas and driving for a winning TD in 4 minutes, yup, done that before.....

Reid against the Pukes - 14 and 6........

Yawn, arguing with a Cowpuke is tiring. I'm hitting the sack.......

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

absolutely!

the IDIOCY of kicking a RISKY FG (aikers is not money that long any more) and leaving dallas the ball at MID-FIELD was a WORTHLESS risk.

good night, tough week to sleep of as a Philthy fan! ...glen

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

I am hoping and praying that the Eagles make the playoffs. I want to see the ultimate battle of coaching greats.

Brad Childress vs. Andy Reid (the student vs the master)

Some highlights of that game will be:
- Reid challenging whether a member of the kicking team was offsides on the opening kickoff. Original result of the play was a touchback. Being proven correct, there is a re-kick, which results in Harvin going 98 yards for a Vikings TD.

- On the first offensive possession, leading 7-3, the Vikings are stopped on their own 30 yard line. It's 4th and 4 and the offense walks off the field. However, Childress wants to make a statement and go for it. The offense thinks he's nuts, doesn't get on the field in time, Childress burns his first timeout with 8:04 left in the 1st quarter.

- On that 4th and 4 play (run - middle - A. Peterson - 3 yard gain), the Vikings are stopped and Eagles get the ball deep in Vikings territory. Before McNabb can take a snap, a whistle is blown as Reid threw his 2nd challenge flag, of the first quarter. He wants to dispute whether his offense should have the ball at the 33 or 34 yard line. Original spot is upheld, Eagles are out of challenges. There is 7:53 remaining in the 1st quarter.

- After throwing 3 straight endzone fade routes to D. Jackson, the Eagles kick a FG and make it 7-6. The kickoff that follows is run back 104 yards by the Vikings. The kickoff that follows that is run back 101 yards by the Eagles. It's 14-13.

- With 2 minutes left in the 1st half, the Eagles are trying to put a drive together. Needing to go 60+ yards with no timeouts (he burned them all in the 1st quarter), Reid calls 2 draws and then several short passes over the middle. The Eagles make it 30 yards before time expires in the half.

- The Eagles take the lead by running the opening kickoff of the 2nd half back 94 yards for a TD.

- On a later Eagles possession, Childress uses his 2nd timeout of the half to try and ice the Eagles punter.

- Favre throws 2 interceptions in the 2nd half, but because of long runs by Peterson, the Vikings are only down by 3 with about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Rather than risk putting the ball back in Favre's hands, Childress decides to go wildcat for his game-winning drive. The first play is a quick screen to Favre, who then double-passes back to Harvin, who throws deep to Peterson. Pass is intercepted and run back 62 yards before Samuel kneels down at the 1 yard line.

- One the following offensive series, the Eagles are stuffed trying to run a hobbling Westbrook right at the middle of the Vikings defense. Reid burns two timeouts as he cannot get a play called in time.

- On 3rd and goal from the 2, with 2:14 left, McNabb tries another corner fade route which falls incomplete. Childress uses his final timeout.

- The Eagles kick a FG to give them a 6 point lead with 2:03 remaining. The Vikings run the ensuing kickoff back 74 yards and start deep in Eagles territory.

- Favre throws and interception on the first play.

- With neither team having timeouts remaining and less than 2 minutes to play, Reid calls 3 straight passes. The 3rd is intercepted and run back for a TD.

- With the score tied, Childress decides not to kick the game-winning extra point and instead go for 2. There are 47 seconds left in the game and he feels a 2 point lead is better (in case his team gets the ball back and suffers a safety?). The pitch outside to Peterson is stuffed for a loss. Regulation ends in a tie.

- After 3 overtime periods, the Vikings run another kickoff back (opening kickoff of 4OT) for a TD and win by 6.

Glen - made a trade offer to you. Not sure what you'll think of it, but despite the crummy team and sacks Rodgers has been a fantasy stud.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

I sent a counter-offer your way that doesn't involve QB's.

Might still throw the Forte trade at you, but I have him pending in another trade. I think the guys I've offered are less likely to be a bust though as the Bears are a disaster all around.
