Fantasy Football 2009

Getting late... but I still have 4 spots in the free league and 3 spots in the pay league.

Free league drafts on Wednesday August 19th @ 7:30PM CST.

Pay league drafts on Wednesday August 26th @ 7:30PM CST.

Anyone willing to come to Milwaukee can join me for a LAN draft party with beer, food, etc.

Pay league is $45 - 100% payout.

Draft order will be random in both leagues due to format change (10 teams this year, etc) and turnover in owners.

PM me if you want to play either league! Glen, Rich, I'm looking at you two!!!

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Oh and some of the changes for this year, for both leagues.

Now 10 teams, 2 divisions. Much like the NFL, the division winners get the top playoff spots.

6 teams make the playoffs, the two top seeds get a round 1 bye. Playoffs are NFL weeks 14, 15, 16.

Roster spots are still 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 TE, 1 Flex (WR or RB), 1 DEF/ST, 1 Kicker. Added another bench spot (6 total now).

Pay League: 2nd place will get $45, 1st place gets $245! Plus you have a chance at winning money every week on top of that ($5 prizes for high scoring team and player).

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Rich, you don't need a MLB for FF. takes 5-10 minutes a week to set your roster (maybe even less.
plus if you know football like you think you do it will take one login to set your roster a week... glen

Duh. I was just miserating, I'm allowed. I'm an Eagle fan.

I don't keep up on ALL of football, I don't have time to, and certainly don't have time to waste it on meaningless games like FF. I'm not into it, I don't care. Enjoy if you are, I'm not judging, but it's NOT FOR ME.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

let me explain... slowly... since you're an eagals fan.

you don't need to follow much except how each team is playing and being able to read the schedule. i'm pretty sure you can handle that.

in FF you can let the system rank itself & draft itself creating your roster. 0 minutes time. you get several offensive players (with backups) and pick a TEAM for defense. each week you simply set a roster and might want to drop players or add players or make a trade. You need to follow very few players... only the best... and can see ranks/etc. 0 minutes to 10 minutes a week. The biggest "hassle" is remembering when there is a Thurs night to set the roster & bye weeks.

trust me you can handle it. you'll finish towards the bottom... but you can handle it ...glen

Let me repeat even slower, for those Cowgirl fans that just don't seem to get it.

I

Don't

Care.

You know that movie "He's just not that into you"?

It doesn't require any time if you don't care if you come in last place. I had a hard enough time when I was doing the suicide pool, and I'd only have to pick ONE TEAM.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Glen - I sent you a PM with the info.

Rich - I'd say I'm disappointed, but I guess it's better than listening to you complain after you pick Westbrook #1 overall and his ACL explodes into 5,000 pieces on the first play of the season.

Passion and Warefare - Soccer? Your sport is so boring that the fans have to get crazy drunk and sing during the entire game just to make it to the end.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Westy is on tired wheels. If I was picking a back I'd probably pick whoever the Giants are starting this year. Or Peterson

Rugby. Without pads the action is lame because nobody hits anybody hard enough to be exciting. I still watch it every now and then though.
