fav swirls ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey all, im looking for your input on this one. i would like you guys and girls to post a pic or pictures of your fav swirls. you dont have to own them, they can be anyones. also please could you state what its is that you like in it and what you look for in a swirl. eg

smooth lines?
mess everywhere?
colour seperation?
bright colours?
total coverage?
gaps in places?
thin see through bits?
mainly one color?
a good balanced mix of color?
what colors are your favs?

also if you say you fav is a DNA then could you state please the order in which you think the colors should dominate, if you can i would much appreciate your input.

I love DNAs and to me a dna is mainly RED then BLACK then GREEN then yellow and finally a bit of pink.

so many to choose from ........

orange and black - 50-50 split
green and black - 60-40 split
yellow, green and red - 50 - 15 - 35
white, blcck and red - even distribution
black and white - 60-40

and many more but those are the ones that come to mind.
all smooth lines - not too detaied so that you can still make out all the lines from a distance - but not that distant

this is steves own proto that never got made! well after this one anyway. must say im a big fan of this one, just add a vine inlay in orange and black and then "where do i sign!"

Is there brown going on in this one aswell? anyone got a better pic of this?

That's one of my favourites ever. I also REALLY like one of barbarelaxe'sGMC swirl he did on I think a 7 string body and hten sold on. It's on this site somewhere.

I tend to like vibrant colours with full solid coverage, I don't like the "lizard" phenomenon.

Colour mixes that Ilove include
GMC (green/black)
Green Black Yellow
Abalone swirl

And Steve's PAW cover swirl although I don't tend to like most UVMCs but there are a few stunning examples.

Of course I like my pmc as well!

Ten years ago, i was really really impressed with HERC Swirls.
Very good definition and separation on colors, with very defined lines.
Then, i just realised the ATD work was more complex, fluorescent colors, with much more vibration and chaotic insanity!
Also, i think the lizard smoking black effect is a defective swirl, so i love when black is REALDARKBLACK!

what is this lizard effect that you guys are on about?
also how many DNAs where there, was it 2500? or would via have died from blood loss.

there was a GMC years ago before the ATD site disappeared i have the pic somewhere on a disc and it was a GMC and it has to be the most perfect swirl id ever seen and still seen to this day i think.

also do you guys care about runs on the swirls? ive seen a lot with small smudges to full on runs all over the place lately, well ive been doing homework on them. does it bother you, would you be less likely to buy a swirl with a load of runs on it or is it just par for the course? HAGO

Simon's (cerealK) blue swirl is the best swirl I've ever seen. Period.

He had some pics posted of it here several years ago.

Try to find that one and you'll be amazed.
