freakin' a little
just a little venting freak. it comes and goes and right now it's coming sort of strong. usually i'm fine but it's been getting worse. as most of you know we found we are losing our jobs due to a corp. merger. that doesn't make sense because their techs are loaded with work and they are taking over our building and a 3rd building...they can barely handle their building and yet, we are all being let go...there are only 5 of us remaining. even if they kept us on, there is too much work. something is not being thought out here and it's not just with my dept, it's with the entire co.! our last day is 12/31/07. no luck with finding an IT job. sure, there are many jobs but they are paying $15 an hour and i can't live on that! i'm 35, not some young punk just out of HS! it's ridiculous! and of course, there is the baby on the way, due around april of 2008 we think but don't have a date as of yet...then of course we move into the new home we had built for us a few months back. signed the papers and put the money down 2 months before the news came to us last year about the merger. so i'm riding it out, just freaking out a bit. it's such a mess around here. started smoking again (cigarettes) like an idiot, now we're being told we should plan on staying till 9/2008 since they need us until then, but yet we get an email stating 12/07 is it. this sux. my photo and video biz is not large enough to live off of. sorry, just needed to vent to my online family.
