GAS Prices at $4 tomorrow!!!

i've had it! i'm done! this is insane. my fiance called me at work to say it's all over the news that gas will hit close to $4 tomorrow, if not $4 tomorrow. right now it's $3.55 for lowest grade! we're in chicago burbs. i understand there is a lot going on with the hurricane and all and it couldn't come at a worse time! being close to 25 billion in damages they say. NOW we're screwed. this effects work, shipping, i don't have to tell you. so get gas today while you can..........ridiculous!

all hail capitalism... jumped $0.60 last night in most stations around here.

same gas sitting in their tanks... no shortage of this smelly petroleum worldwide.

+1 for price gougers ...glen

I'm glad I'm taking October off from work. I'll be staying home most of the time. Screw this happy crap! $4.00 a gallon and you can't even drink it!!

well i was thinking of buying a motorcycle. i'm not a rider but my brother and cousin have one and it would be fun to ride with them. with this gas issue it might not be a bad idea...i haven't yet cuz i'm nervous about it...don't feel entirely safe with the idiots on the road.

We are even starting to feel it up here in Canada. Here in Halifax Nova Scotia they say it will be up to $1.35 per litre by the weekend. Walking might not sound so bad.

Exactly. How can they charge MORE the the gas ALREADY in their tanks??

I've been looking into a scooter to commute to work and back.

Here in Denver the highest I saw today is -

$ 2.69 Low Grade
$ 2.79 Mid Grade
$ 2.89 High Grade

Ouch Shred....why soo high over there? I'll check tomorrow to see how much is goes up tonight.

As for $5.40 a gallon.....
No it's not,
1.35 per gallon x 3.78 liters equals $5.10 Canadian per US gallon
Divided by exchange of 1.18 equals $4.32US per US gallon.

Still way to much though, it's getting totally ridiculous! I'm sick of it myself.

Electrics will be more popular soon, I think.

Now think about allllllll the people who are reliant on gasoline, everyplace needs some sort of fuel to get product to and from their places and we need it to get to and from work. If public trans was an option for me, I'd be using it, but sadly I'd have to take 2 different trains and a cab ride to get here. not happening. anyone buying oil futures?
I know one guy that must be making a KILLING right now.

it's really bad when you become so reliant on something that it can cripple you when it's down. unfortunately we have to do that....gas, electricity, computers to name just a few. this is a really bad time right now and it's something you NEED to buy if you want to work and that need will tap into what little money most of us have left. not to mention make everyone more angry not to mention more drive offs at the pump...viscious circle. hey next the government will raise taxes on groceries to "help" things out.

I agree.....if there was a good public transportation system I could use, I would. If I took the bus, it would take 1.5 - 2 hours to get to work.

Jeremy, those prices are crazy!! And I imagine your car isn't very fuel efficient?
