Getting a New Graphics card....

Hey Folks,

I'm getting a new graphics card.

I am one of the unlucky ones and got stuck with a computer with a "intergrated GPU" and not a PCIe or AGP, just PCI

So, when I go to my monitor control panel thing, it says it's analog so that means it's a VGA right? NOT a DVI (just double checking).

DVI is a blue connection head thing right?

O yea, is this card discountinued or something? If it is, can someone reccomend me a card that I could find at a store with the same kinda specs and price?

Wow, PCI, unlucky!

I had trouble enough a couple of years ago getting a PCI card!

It says that card is in stock, so I guess its still availible, and its around the best you'll get for PCI.

To be honest, if you are looking to play modern games, you'll need ATLEAST an ATI X700 or GeForce 6600.

Might I suggest getting a whole new system piece by piece? This depends on how fast you can get each bit, if your earnings that you can throw at a PC are like mine, by the time you've saved up enough for the next piece, the previous is outdated!

analog is usually the blue connection head which has 15 pins and white is usually DVI. yes vga is analog.
