Re: Go away snow!
**** you snow, you ****!
I'm from Canada and it is in my bill of rights to swear at Winter whenever i want. However, that latter was later restricted to Winter only, as people would swear at Winter during the middle of summer. Crazy peep holes!

Re: Go away snow!
Yep, sky's still ****ting snow here. We're probably up to about 20 cm I'd say. Whats sucks though - they closed the Uni Friday 'cause of the snow, and I ended up going into the lab from 9:30 to 4 (I was the only one there), and tomorrow I'd have to do the same, even if they close it. I mean if it was today I'd have been laughing, but I've got **** to do tomorrow. But the temp's not bad. I'd say probably -10.

Re: Go away snow!
Man nobody in Canada south of Montreal should be able to complain - you guys get the worst of it (other than the really remote areas). Remember when they called the army in T.O.? Hahahaha. People in Montreal had a grand ole time.

Re: Go away snow!
News is saying we got 17" of snow in less than 24 hours. Not bad... This weekend is going to bring temps around 0F and 50mph winds. Can't wait!
Here's some fun stuff that happened in the past few days:
Snow time-lapse
- kind of fun to watch, 1.5 minutes long.
2,000+ motorists got stuck
on a stretch of I-90 by Madison. That was bad stuff, but it seems everyone got out fine.

Re: Go away snow!
Yep, snow's good and bad. It's bad 'cause it's a pain in the ass to shovel every day, and it's a pain in the ass if you're driving in it. But it's good because it makes you tougher. Stick it out, spring'll be around in no time. Snow makes spring and summer that much sweeter.

LOL . . . that would be me, driving around in a blizzard in my Subaru looking for good coffee! Hope you weather the storm well.

Re: Go away snow!
Chicago reporting in....bad here as well. we got 14" in the far west suburbs where i'm at, and 8" a few days earlier. few inches few days before that! every other day i'm shoveling. if money comes around i think i'll invest in a snow blower.

Re: Go away snow!
shredmaster, have you been downtown yet? If so, how is it? Downtown Ilwaukee is a mess as there is just nowhere to go with the snow. You have to pile it into dump trucks and haul it away, but that is a very slow operation.

Re: Go away snow!
downtown chicago isn't bad at all. virtually no accumulation. infact, sidewalks are pretty bare. it's the burbs that got it bad and the further west you go, the worse it is. i'm about 50 miles west of chicago and it was crazy. i have 3' drifts in the backyard due to blowing snow. on average, there is about 12" in our area. streets are pretty good now depending on where you go. we all have about 4' piles of snow on each side of our driveways from all the plowing / snow blowing / shoveling. i hear we are supposed to get slammed mid-next week. enough already! this is the most snow we have received in the last quarter century, according to our local news. ridiculous. 2 more months left.
