Gustav

Well, I have been on the phone all morning making sure my family and friends are getting out of south Louisiana.

It's gonna be a trying and stressful few days.

I hope all of you guys along the Gulf Coast stay safe and don't waite until the last minute to leave. Traffic is already getting bad and things are getting stupid.

Looks like this may end up being one heck of a storm.

Well, I'd rather be safe than sorry if I was out there.

So far we have been fortunate in our area.
I hope everyone stays safe out there.

Re: Gustav

Well, my family is on the way to Houston. What was normally a 4 hour trip from Lafayette, La. has now turned into almost 9 hours and they are still not here.

Looks like it's gonna be a very long night.

Re: Gustav

My parents lost there house in katrina.Fortunately, they live in missouri now.I still have family in new orleans, but they evacuated.I drove through there after katrina, pretty sad.The property damage is one thing, but it completely changed peoples lives. My prayers certainly go out to anyone in the path of gustav.

Re: Gustav

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered as of 8:00 am local. Anyone trying to ride out the storm in NOLA and not on their own property (potential looters) will be arrested and evacuated.
