I don't know if you have that commercial or product in England, so you might not understand.

Re: Hangover cure?
This is info from a professional drunk (me.) Time and water. Sleep doesn't hurt either. Lay off the cigarettes - I believe that the nicotine constricts blood vessels which will contribute to the headache. Pain killers only dull the pain for a while.
I find that my hangovers are more like an allergic reaction that I treat with decongestants.
I'm off to tie a much needed one on now (9pm here in Michigan.) Got my smokes, cab money and good company. Go Tigers!
BTW, I HATE those Head On commercials. Have you seen the new one where they make fun of themselves?

Hydrate via water and/or Gatoraid. My friend swears by eating burnt toast before bed. Also bananas are supposed to help.

Re: Hangover cure?
I have got a list. I'm a professional. It all depends on what kind of night you had, but for that all night liquor drinking, shot taking, going back somewhere and pounding beers until 6 in the morning, this seems to work great for me:
1. Take two tylenol before you go to sleep. Chug a few glasses of water, too.
2. Immediately upon awaking, pound a Slim Fast. Grab one on your way home at a 7-11 or something.
3. An hour later, eat a banana.
V8 or tomato juice is great to drink the next day, too.
I don't know, I've done just about everything under the sun, but this helps a whole lot for some reason.
The hour between the Slim Fast and the banana is important.
I'm typing this as I'm drinking a Red Bull and vodka and getting ready to take a shot.

That's not a bad one either, one I do many times myself. Zing Zang is by far the best bloody mary mix ever. If anyone is a fan of bloody mary's, get Zing Zang, the best bloody mary mix, ever. Period.
Absolute Peppar with it, even better.

Re: Hangover cure?
These two methods have worked for me when I used to get hangovers:
Drink a lot of water before you drink, and again before you go to bed.
or
Sober up before you go to bed. I went out to a bar with one of my roommates... got really drunk. Then we went to another bar, and I drank diet coke for a couple hours. Was sober by the time we left, so I drove us home.
Now, when I get really drunk... I don't have to do anything. I usually feel like complete garbage by the time I go to bed. So I'll lay there for an hour or two with the spins until I pass out. When I wake up, I feel fine.

Re: Hangover cure?
From a purely analytical standpoint, a large amount of the hangover pain is induced by dehydration from intaking so much alchohol in such a short amount of time. Theoretically drinking enough water should balance this out and cure the headache, but drinking the water after the massive amounts of alchohol takes time to set in, so get started the night of the drinking. Gatorade doesn't seem like a bad idea either, it replaces lost ions (electrolytes)

booooooooooooooorrrriiiiiiiiiiingggg........
just kidding...
I don't know what it is, but my girlfriend can drink until the end of the world, and get no hangover whatsoever.
There are just those people (like me) that get hangovers, and those that don't (like her).
I mean, I have seen her get sloptified, and feel fine the next day. I had like 4 beers the other night, and felt like **** the next day. But I think that was due to the fact that I've been under the weather.
I know a girl who can have two drinks, and have a hangover. And she's german. I thought they had a high tolerance...
