Harmony Central Forums??

That place is mad...

The posts travel down the front page in less than three minutes, there are random posts in each section (often pertaining to very unrelated topics), and there is no search function for me to find my old posts for reference.

I've had my ten minutes in there. I'm not going back.

Anyone else have a similar experience there?

Never been to the forum before, only browsing for gear reviews only

Re: Harmony Central Forums??

My main forum. They just changed the layout so the search got nuked and there's a hundred threads whining about that. Also about a year and a half ago they screwed up deleting old threads and people lost their post counts from posts older than a certain date. I went from about 4500 to 750.

Yeah there's a ton of off topic stuff, but it keeps the place from getting boring. I can't stand visiting strict on-topic forums more than once a week.

Getting quick responses is usually good.

I usually browse it for interesting topics, like the "gigs from hell" threads from the band-stories section.

Kind of weird now that the layout is identical to the one here now... except they still have the 100-line sigs. Maybe we should have them here, too. How about:

You didn't list every item you own including every brand and length of cable, type and thickness of picks, gear "for sale" that was sold almost a year ago, five quotes from other forum members, a ton of unnecesary blank lines....

I posted there a few but only because some people there were searching for reviews of those Atlas guitars from Thailand.

Re: Harmony Central Forums??

I used to go there a lot "back in the day" like around 1996 or so. There were no forums then. I just went there looking for comparisons on my quest for answer on the line6 pod pro XT stuff a few days ago and will not be back for quite awhile. That place IS MAD! it's all over the map, disorganized. it's chaos.
