Hatton Hands Out Brutal Lesson :)
Finally, Ricky Hatton shows all you Americans who love boxing what all the fuss is about. He totally dominated Castillo throughout the first 3 rounds, then knocked him out in the 4th. Hopefully, this is impressive win might set up a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

I think Hatton is not so popular in the States because of his fight style. He tends to clinch a lot. I'm not saying he isn't a good fighter. Just not always what the crowd wants to see.
I stayed up late to watch the fight and then it got pre-empted by some auto racing. So I went to bed. Good for Hatton anyway, I'll try and watch the fight today.

Haha!
Wicked fight today ... Hatton just too tough!
I'd like to see Hatton come to Australia in 35 Degrees Celcius, at 4am in the morning, rematch Kostya Tszyu ... Kostya told me himself he made a mistake in his preparation ... but made 5 million!!!
Guys ... I still have my beautiful 2002 Blue Jem for sale, signed and played backstage by Vai.
Cheers

If Mayweather doesn't retire before it happens, you will see it.
Mayweather wants another fight against De La Hoya anyways, so Hatton probably isn't/wasn't on his scope. He should be now after last night that's for sure.
Hatton is finally making people worldwide see what people from the UK have known all this time.

Nobdy wants to see PBF vs DLH again. The last one was a snoozefest. They could both learn a thing or two from last nights fight.

Oh yeah, that fight was dreadful. But when both fighters are earning nearly $20million for it, it makes good business sense I suppose. Plus, Mayweather would obviously want to go out on a good note if he only plans to have "one last fight". And if he fights Hatton, there is a large possiblity that his last fight may end on a slightly sour note instead.
It will be interesting to see what happens next though. Because there's no doubt what Hatton/the public wants, and thats a fight against the Pretty Boy.

Sorry to break the news to you but, boxing is sadly dead and gone in America. Not very many people are going to watch drawn out fights that usually end in a decision with a controversal result. Fighting left here when Tyson went down the tank. Most people now want decisive fights that end rather quickly with a clear-cut winner. This is why MMA or mixed martial arts will be bigger than Nascar here shortly, thank god! Turn left, turn left, turn left, turn left...lol

True boxing is not as popular as it once was but there will always be fans. I like MMA but the best boxing matches are still tops for me.

Re: Hatton Hands Out Brutal Lesson :)
That Hatton fight was awful. Jose Luis Castillo is washed up and obviously didn't want to fight. This is not the same fighter we saw go to war with Carrales.
Hatton was awesome a few years back, but his style is too boring and he's no where near as dynamic as he once was. Mayweather is too fast for him.
I am a Pac Man fan myself. Manny is the best for me. I also think Paulie Malignaggi has a bright future. He lives across the street from my old high school. He actually attended it, but then dropped out. I hope this boxing career pans out.
