What I've heard is that Plant won't be involved and it won't be called Led Zeppelin. It could be related to Page's solo album, which he's been working on for years and which is built around the same "a million guest artists" concept that made Santana take over radio for a few years there.

I wouldn't say for sure that there is going to be a new album....not judging by that article, anyway. It's common for these guys to go into the studio "to see what happens"....it might lead to bigger things or it might not. Either way good luck to them.

I'd kinda hope not!

The legend that was Led Zeppelin can stand for all time in the masterful body of work the four members produced together in that era. That fact that it ended permanently adds to the whole aura surrounding the band and the music! Anything they tried now would be compared to that and would suffer as a result IMO!

I would love to hear what the 4 of them could come up with now, but seperate it from Led Zep. Allow it to stand or fall on it's own merit. Don't dilute the new stuff by trying to stand alongside the old, and don't sour the memory of one of the biggest bands of all time by trying to live off the legend.

The people who would be interested know who they are, they don't need be called Led Zep to make people aware!!
