Help Needed.
I sold a PS3 to a buyer on E Bay a few months back, he paid immediately through Paypal(My Missus Paypal account). Anyways he had no feedback but he did pay straight away, so I posted the PS3 out the next day and he was pleased with the product and I heard no more. Now, my missus is really upset and stressed because Paypal without any warning have gave him his money back because he is claiming the money that came out of his account for the PS3 was unauthorised, so now my missus has a negative account balance of £463. What can I do??? what are the best actions to take.
Also the buyer is no longer a registered E bayer, I have his home address though. Obviously he is a scammer.

Re: Help Needed.
If you have proof of the transaction (emails, etc.), Paypal will give you your money back.

Re: Help Needed.
Well, just thought I let some know that Paypal decided in the scammers favour and I realised this morning they Have decided to go ahead and take £479.99(roughly $850) out of my account, money I had been saving for my brand new VBK
which I have had planned for a few months now.
I can see now why more and more people will not deal with Paypal.
The police are still involved though and so is my solicitor, so maybe there is a little hope that something can be done.

Man, that really sucks! I'm so sorry this happened to you. You are in the right here so I'm sure you will get your money back, but it just sucks that you're going to have to jump through so many hoops to get it.
I hope it all turns out well and that you get your money back soon.

Re: Help Needed.
Where does he live?
I bought a copy of windows XP a few months back sold as genuine, when it tturned up it was a DVD with a keycode written onto the disk, which wasnt what was pictured.
As luck would have it I was at a car show near where he lived shortly after, turned up at his door with my friends, he changed his mind after saying he wasnt going to in his emails and refunded me my money.
Basically what i am saying is, turn up unannounced, offer him the option of a shoeing or the return of the console.
Paypal are utterly useless, I will pay with it, but wont accept payments at all!

Re: Help Needed.
This is why its ok to pay via paypal but NEVER EVER accept payment though it.
The police will deal with the guy hopefully. Take him to small claims, get the PS3 money back and he'll have to pay ALL your expenses.
Then run him over in the car park after...

Re: Help Needed.
If he was smart the address is a mail drop that didn't require proof of ID to open. Call the local PD or post office to find out exactly what that address is.
