How about a math problem?

How about a math problem?
It is said that engineers take 3 minutes to resolve this, architects 3 hours and doctors 6 hours. If you guess the 6th number, you can open the excel file by using the number as the password. Once you discover it, put your name in, save it and send it on. What is the 6th number?
1, 2, 6, 42, 1806, _____?

Re: How about a math problem?

Uhm, I think your numbers must be wrong. I'm no engineer, but I didn't spend three minutes solving it.

Edit: Maybe I'm just a genious...

Btw, I figured out what the 6th number of the first question was in about 5 minutes. And I used a calculator. lol..

Myst that's a good one, i don't even know where to go with that one. looks like multiplication of the 3 #'s, but i'm assuming the top line is related to the bottom?

Re: How about a math problem?

The first one only took me as long as opening up calc and punching in the proper operations. But, I don't have word on this computer so I can't test my answer. I dont see how i could be wrong though. Can someone PM me the answer?

Yeah I managed this in about two minutes when a friend sent it to me a while ago. Good fun though.

Re: How about a math problem?

got the first one in as long as it took to turn the calculator on... bashed my head round the second one for a bit... with square and cube roots....

is it actually much simpler... is the answer 21?

Looks like you fell into the same pitfall I did... I got this question from an online IQ test. I was puzzled beyond belief at first. I just didn't see it. lol.. But I really wanted to know so I went around asking some people online. I ended up getting the answer from someone on another forum who supposedly has an IQ of 140...

The top line isn't related to the bottom one in the sense that you seem to think..
