How not to pick up your guitar.

Ok, this morning my mate was late picking me up for work cos he couldnt get the van started. So i thought i'd play my guitar for a bit till he came, great.
My guitar, and RG1550 was lying on the bed, i reached down and picked it up by the strap, bad idea. The strap was wrapped around the top horn and as i lifted it up it flipped over and smacked me square in the mouth, OUCH.
So i quickly ran to the bathroom to see i had split my lip and blood was pouring out, what a b*st*rd.

So lesson to everyone, dont pick your guitar up by the strap, otherwise you, like me, will be drinking soup through a straw for your tea.

If your guitar has one

Otherwise I grab mine on the neck right where it meets the body so as to minimize stress on the neck.

I find it best to wear personal protective gear while picking up my guitar.

Snow??? ha....ha

what 1/2 inch??

I'm thinking you better have a backup excuse.

Like

...some blasphemous ludrumans attempted to mug you outside the pub. You were able to feck them all up because you are a bad arse, but in the mighty very hard fought battle your lip took a hit!!

I mean come on.....dude...it sounds like a lot better excuse than you ~smacked~ youself in the face with your guitar

Especially if your boss is a chick

Ouch! That had to hurt!

If there's any of your blood left on the guitar, then it's kind of like an instant custom DNA now!
