Sicky - it seems you've made up your mind. You are a good person and you can do much better. I think you are making the right choice in getting past this and moving on with your life my friend

My teacher's wife for one of my classes is a nurse. She was telling me that in one of the cities she was in the average age that a child had sex was 8 years old. F*cking 8 years old! I was shocked (as was the rest of the class).

That's so messed up!! One thing I've learned from reading this thread is that everybody male and female has been hurt by someone. It's so sad that there's so much pain in the world.

I think you have to take people each one on their own merit otherwise you fall into the danger of stereotyping. Just my humble 2 cents.

Thank you FloridaNative. That really was my whole premise, in a long-winded sort of way. I don't want guys to assume that just because I am a chick that I eat men up and throw them away for breakfast, too. I don't go clubbing, I read a lot(I like the classics especially like Edith Wharton and Jane Austin) and play guitar, and I miss companionship sometimes. I wish that I had a boyfriend. I am embarrassed that my gender can tend to be this way, but it is not a reflection on myself. I'm a girl that just wants to meet a nice boy, and I'm having a lot of problems doing that.

Enough said, this thread is really about Sick-boy. Man, I'm thrilled that you have such a great friend. I believe in karma, and I think in the long run people get what they deserve, good and/or bad. I have a feeling that good things will happen for you. I haven't known you for very long, but you appear to be kind, intelligent, and mature for your age, from all the posts I have read by you. I am proud to have met your acquaintance.

as you can read in all my posts I never just bashed females, and I'm 100% with JJemmer, it is the person not the "Gender" but you have to agree
that girls in this day and age are out of conrol and it is getting worse everyday unfortunately... That is why I thank God I am happily married
and I'm no longer out there on the currrent scene looking for someone!
I do agree with you on this point Olie. I don't know if it is my age, I will be 38 in a few weeks, or generation, etc... but I do see the woman liberation you are referring too. You are right, they are out of control, some or a lot of them. Could it be that maybe women got fed up one day of being used by men? I'm just throwing that possibility out there. It may be that "if you can't beat them, then join them" mentality. I don't know, and it would be wrong regardless. I just know I'm having a d*** difficult time trying to get a proverbial old-fashioned date. I am happy for your prosperous marriage.

Bravo!!! Exactly what I said previously, too. Physical beauty is the biggest deceiver. It is the beauty on the inside that really counts.

There is a great quotation that I always remember. Not sure if it was Socrates? But here it goes:

Beauty is a short-lived tyranny.

Physical beauty, usually fades with time, unless you have what is on the inside to back it up.

Ok, I've posted enough for now. Just my 2 cents that has turned into $1.50 worth.

Dump the wench.

Harsh, but clearly the best choice from what I've read.
You deserve better.

Re: I just don't know anymore...

Sorry to hear it man, my cousin went through a similar situation, he married at 23 and his wife was 19, they'd been together quite a while, but after she was married, she kinda saw it as she could do what she wanted and still go back to him, as if being married made acting like a hoe was ok.

Needless to say they arent together now and to be honest its probably the best thing he's done, he's with another lass now who treats him a hell of alot better.

Hope things work out for the best man.

Well said! I've seen it to many times to not believe that people get what they give.

LikewiseWanna get married?

I'm really looking forward to working my ass of this summer. My friend that got me the job told me I could start a day earlier than before, so now it's just about a week and a half away. Awesome! I hope to have a tube amp by the end of the summer.

That was cute. You got a chuckle out of me.
You need to slow down there buster.

I'm thrilled to hear about your job. I've rarely heard of not interviewing. I really am sorry about your marriage. My baby brother just got divorced, and even though I've had a lot of time to heal those wounds, man, I know it is rough. I remember I used to feel like I was going to throw up all the time, cause I felt so wretched inside after my ex told me he was leaving. I always dreamed of being married since I was a young girl. Not necessarily kids but I always wanted to be married.

It is sad, but with the realities I see today, marriage may be a pipedream. The best I hope for now is a long-term boyfriend, but even that is difficult to find. I am finding a better calibre of males and hope after being on this forum.
It is a shame you guys aren't local.

It is great being able to spend your money on yourself. I spoil myself rotten.

I know, it was a joke.

Yeah, I just remembered when I was single I used to do the same. I didn't have a bunch of stuff to spend money on, so I spoiled myself rotten, too. The summer is looking very promising for me.

That'll happen. I actually don't mind spending money on a girl. It's cool.
