Re: I knew today was going to be great

Paris makes a very strong case for people with IQs under 85 being sterilized to keep this great country of ours from being over run by morons. If this is how the rest of the world views us by her example its no wonder America is losing its
place in the world. Much as it bother me to admit it maybe the president was
onto to something with his concepts concerning secret prisons and permanent detention without being legally charged/tried in a court of law. Maybe Paris need to go to a prison in Guantanamo or Poland or Romania and see how the poor are treated to get a better understanding of how well off she really is. In the rest of the world the legal system is much harsher on drunk driving: try any Scandanavian country(Norway,Denmark,Sweden,Finland) first time offense is one year in jail. In other parts of the world you can't buy your way out of anything...years ago some nephews of the Queen "keyed" a parked car in
Indonesia or Thailand and were caught, I forget if the punishment was caning(a process where your feet are repeatedly struck with a bamboo Cane-often resulting in permanent damage/crippling) or being publicly flogged. Needless to say The Queen tried to intervene by using diplomatic channels and Legal system in the country viewed this as meddling and went ahead and punished the lads. The concept of "overcrowding" or extenuating circumstances doe not fly in other nations.

Getting a bit too political here...let's steer clear of corporal punishment, shall we?

Otherwise, this thread has made things brighter for me. I hate seeing people slide through a justice system designed to put NO one above it. 'Bout time, I say.

Call it a hunch, but most of us will gladly take the idealogy our Founding Fathers left us as opposed to the anti-constutional BS of our current government.

People paying attention to Paris have 10x the problems she'll ever encounter and it's sad that she's more a byproduct of the society we created ... she's not the reason our society is becoming so out of whack... glen

"There's nothing wrong with her aside from being an ugly spoiled no talent hack who contributes absolutely nothing to anything." I agree except for the ugly part... the girl aint ugly but she's pretty much worthless otherwise. Damn happy they sent her back, if they had not it sends the wrong message to the public.

Re: I knew today was going to be great

Sorry Glenn....I never meant to infer by my post that I in any way shape or form condone any of these practices(rendition, permanent warehousing of anyone,torture..etc..its a very long sad embarrassing list these days). I was born in a Cuba- a totalitarian regime-I'm the last person on the planet to buy into any of this nonsense. I wrote that to illustrate the very point you bought up: the people obsessing over Paris or any other trainwreck celebrity(Lindsey Lohan, the late Ana Nicole Smith,Courtney Love,Whitney Houston...etc) should be aware of more important things going on in the world. My personnel view is this is the same group of nameless faceless people have no life so they have to live vicariously through someone else or even sadder can only feel better about themselves by seeing others suffer as if it made their own shortcomings/life failures any less obvious. I think the term is "Haters"-those who resent and try to drag down anyone who's doing better than them. Your comment about the Paris addicts having 10x more problems than her is all too true: Paris only has to worry about social diseases, leaked homemade porns on the internet..etc....Daddy's money will buy her way out of most of lifes everyday problems. Anyone remember Keith Richards famous reply to a reporter asking if he had a drug problem: "no mate I've got a lot of money."
Unlike Keith who became famous by some kind of ability/accomplishment, Paris is famous only thru bad behavior and her family fortune.
As for being too political-Sorry I'll go on Bill Mahr's board.

This is too good. There's even a pic of her crying in the cop car on her way back to jail...
Although I don't like her, it's always sad to see a person crying

Careful brother, after that port you may have to spend a lot of time scraping barnacles off of your dingy.

Not always. She has no one to blame but herself for her situation. If she had learned to take responsibilty for what she did when she was younger, she wouldn't have been in this situation.
