I love my new Canon!
Well I got myself a new Digital Camera. The Canon S3is and its just mind blowing. The picture quality is astonishing compared to what I had before! I cant wait until I go on holiday and really test this out!
Well, I thought I'd try out some of the features of it on my guitar(s) and other things
(fingers crossed about image tags, they never seem to work for me)
Edit:
Bloody tags wont work!! WHY!!! They are in properly!!! Grrr
Edit II:
Huraaay!

My girlfriend is about to buy the Canon Powershot S5 IS. An amazing camera for about £250.

Re: I love my new Canon!
yeah but its still not a Digital SLR, where the quality is far superior due to a much larger sensor being used, so yours is just a fancy point and shoot, and so just a waste of money really.
The sensor will be so small you could barely see it with the naked eye, and the quality of pics will therefore be appalling.
6Mp and 12x zoom is pretty pathetic really too.....
Only Joking
............. BUT i was just waiting for one of the SLR camera snobs on here to say something similar.
I bought an 8Mp and 18x Panasonic DMC FZ-18 and mentioned it on here and got a slating........... by the camera snobs!
If i was a pro snapper, i'd buy an SLR - but i'm not!!
I went to the lakes at the weekend and got some fantastic pics!
What more do you need........?

Re: I love my new Canon!
Hey Ibanezking, I hear what you are saying about the DLSR thing. I hope I didn't come off that way. There are a lot of reasons why a DSLR is superior to a point and shoot camera but that doesn't mean everyone wants or needs one. The Panasonic FZ and the Canon S*-IS series cameras are both excellent and capable of taking very good photos.

Re: I love my new Canon!
i wouldn't call myself a snob because i have more invested in camera lenses and gear than all guitars combined. to me it's a sick passion, as is guitars and computers. it doesn't matter what you have, as long as you have fun and you have the tools to do what you need to do. there are times when i take $5000 in camera gear to my brother's house to get great shots of my nephew, but then there are times when i pull out my older canon powershot i got for $300, which is now my wife's cam. granted, i rarely use it, but it has its place.
