No its not. Soft melodies aren't music then. Quiet would be very softly and barely audible music. "Silent", on the other hand, would be an appropriate oxymoron.

"Music for relaxation" is a matter of opinion

Personally i find Death Metal very relaxing

Yeah...it's soothing Very chillin' and theraputic

I guess it's down to whatever you like affects your mood in certain ways!!!

I mean.....chart music and (C)rap "music" absolutely brings my blood to the boil and makes me feel homicidal

Yeah ! I know how that is ! What relaxes me is the sound of nails on a chalkboard, man that stuff is so soothing.
Dream Theater puts me to sleep all of the time !!! Seriously ! I don't need pills, by the second track I'm out for the night !!!!
