I need to vent
So, my wife's mom is in some financial trouble so I decided to put my Les Paul Goldtop up for sale to help her out. I listed it for a fair $2400 and I got a response from someone asking if I was interested in trades. I told the guy not really guy I would listen to his offer. Then the guy has the balls to offer me my choice of a Wii, an Xbox 360, 2 early 1900 Hanson Brothers scales, an iPod, a Superman Collectable from the 1970s, and ready for the big offer, a 1937 Canadian Dollar. Im actually speechless and don't know how to respond to his email. A simple and polite "no thank you" doesnt quite get my point across. I was going to suggest he save up another $2399 Canadian dollars then get back to me. This guitar sells at MF for $3500 and his big offer was a Canadian dollar. Just for giggles I checked the bay for the going rate of a 1937 Canadian dollar and it seems to be between $30 and $150 US Dollars, though at $150 there wasnt any interest.
A fkking Candian Dollar.

You think this guy might just be messing with you, or do you think he was serious? Pretty sad if he was serious...

Is it real Dimarzio belly lint, or IBZ/USA belly lint?

I have some
EMG active
belly button lint...it's too bad I'm not looking for an LP Goldtop though. Now if you had a couple of vintage ibanez mudpies we might be able to do a deal...

Re: I need to vent
I once put up a guitar for sale on craigslist for 800 and someone asked if I would take 300. Now maybe I understand bargaining within a benjamin, but thats a benjamin less than HALF of my asking price. I also put up another guitar for sale (specifically capitalizing the letters in "NO TRADES" and the first offer i got was not only a trade offer but an offer to trade it for the EXACT same guitar in a different color. I've learned not to be upset by it but just take it as a chance to laugh. My recommendation is for you to do the same otherwise youll end up banging your head into a wall, lol.
