take my son fishing, for the first time
well I was expecting him to give it 10 minutes and then give up but he loved every minute of it, caught 2 fish at 4 and then 1 pound....
I think I have steered him into a lifetime of spending money on fishing tackle because he is certainly "hooked"



not at all bad for his first fish ever !!!! I know my first catch wasnt this damn big !



and his first pose with the little fishie - the bigger one had a lot of fight left in him and flapped away like a demented thing



it was the last day of his school holidays so it was a last treat before going back

I guess this means that im gonna have to start going fishing again

My son is only 3-1/2, but I will be taking him fishing here as soon as it cools off.
I hope he enjoys it as much as your's did.
And I cant wait to go fishing again. Its been years.
Teaching your child to fish is a very cool thing in my book. And an awesome way to bond.

ive fished once in 16 years (that was fly fishing recently) and i was nice to be out on the bank again in the sun.

I guess id better find out how much a license costs now

I know here in the states, many states don't require a kid to have a fishing license, so as long as Dad wasn't actually doing the fishing, they would be all good.

awesome pics - we live on a little stream in Maine with some great fishing and my son is turning 6 - been a bit worried about taking him down there (not wanting him to get too brave when I'm not around) but I think this spring we will start fishing together. Cannot wait - after seeing these pics.
