IE7

All I can say is Arrgghhh!

Should have stuck with IE6. I didn't need tabs. I prefer to open new windows. Everything has been moved around and IE will not let me move it where I want it. I'd like to have the buttons on top as before, the link bar on bottom as before and be able to move stuff around to my liking. IE only let's me move items around on the same line, not move lines up or down.

Re: IE7

I'm using IE7 due to some security issues and all that spyware crappy.
The design isn't that bad, but i'm still using the Firefox 1.5 most of the time. It rules hardrock!
And lots of things to customize...

Re: IE7

I'm another Mozilla fan as well.
Firefox mo' betta.

IE7 has yet to impress me. I have it only because there are some financial sites that require IE only for various transactions. IE does handle some Java apps better at work, but 98% of my surfing etc is via Firefox.

Re: IE7

Tab browsers are alot more convenient but they use too much memory and ive only got 512 on this computer. Opera is good because its so simple and theres no weather updates or BW wasting **** that pops up when you start it everytime.

The IE7 download page said if you go to Add/Remove of the control panel and remove ie7, it will revert to ie6.

Re: IE7

I've been using Firefox for years (before it became fashionable!) and it's never let me down. IE feels pretty clunky in comparison (and I think my version has some spyware on it, since it takes a good minute or so to load even the simplest pages, on the rare occasion I need to use it). It's just a pity Firefox isn't more widely compatible, though that's the fault of web designers rather than Mozilla.

It seems to have an improved layout, anti-phishing stuff, and integrated news feeds.

EDIT: also, there are now icons for bookmarks in OSX.

Re: IE7

Tada......

Got it last night after I noticed it was on the ftp site before official release today. I used to use netscape navigator up until the version 7.1 came out. By that time I was using both IE and Navigator (IE just to check my designed web pages) and finally made the switch after many sites added features that made using netscape hard, not to mention it was getting very bloated. I still have 7.1 on my comp and fire it up every now and then.

I'm really impressed with Firefox 2.0 so far. It looks like it may take over my regular browser role.

Re: IE7

why would you try to use anything so soon after a release from MS? i usually wait at least a few months minimum. never use anything that is just released unless it's a machine you don't care about too much
