i'm an uncle
....for the first time. it's so damn cool. my brother and his wife had their first child last wednesday. as i told my brother, most babies are ugly! and they all look the same. i would rather have a puppy.....but.......his kid is really freakin' cute man! it's so messed up to be holding this little guy....for those of you with kids you know what i mean. it makes you realize the circle of life and it gets you thinking. Tyler is his name. this is a pretty good shot considering it was behind glass and i needed a 200mm lens to get him...in the back of the room.

Re: i'm an uncle
Congratulations!!! That kid is very, very cute! And look at that picture! It's very nice as well. I never would've been able to guess that that was taken from behind glass. Congratulations, I'm excited for ya!

Congrats!
I'm an uncle and it's awesome
I've got three beautiful nephews and I love them all like they were my own sons. The best part? You can give a nephew back when he starts misbehaving

Re: i'm an uncle
I bet your brothers wife had a nightmare with heartburn. My daughter came out with a lot of hair and Samantha drank gallons of Gaviscon through her pregnancy.
They say it's the hair that gives the mothers heartburn...wierd huh ?
Congrats!

Babies are fun. And when you're an Uncle, you can play with them without having to hear them cry all night

Re: i'm an uncle
Being an uncle must be similar to being a grandparent..
You don't have to discipline the kids.
You SPOIL them, in fact.
You only see them when they are at their best -- at family functions, etc, when they are all dressed and dolled up..
You can feed them as MUCH junk food as you want and then give them back to their REAL parents when you're done, so the parents have to clean everything up! haha!
I'm looking forward to being a grandparent someday.. Just not the parent part so much.. hahaha

Re: i'm an uncle
thanks guys! (and girls)...
yes i can give him back when things get ugly...that is the bonus. so far he is just sleeping most of the day....my brother is lucky so far.
i can't wait to show him all about computers and of course guitars and amps and studio stuff! of course if he doesn't like it, i won't care, but how can you resist cool guitars and stuff like that. it's intriguing to anyone...i would think.
