iPod Nano!!!
Just got my iPod Nano in the post yesterday night - and it rocks!!!
Now I can listen to 80's metal where ever I go...
Anyone else got one?
I'm a git I know.

Re: iPod Nano!!!
Nice player - KOs the entire "mini" competition. But imho "80's metal" should remain in the 80s for the most part

Re: iPod Nano!!!
some 80s metal is cool.... like
Iron Maiden
and Judas Priest. Bands like
Motley Crue
, Poison, Ratt, Warrant however are better off never having existed.

Re: iPod Nano!!!
Heh... 80s metal on a 21st-century piece of technology... nice!
The iPod nano looks like a piece of science fiction... like something you'd seeon Star Trek: TNG. It's so impossibly small and slick looking. I'm in awe, and secretly jealous.
I just spent 50 bucks on a new battery for my original 5GB iPod which my wife now uses, and it now gets about 20 hours on a charge. Pretty sweet! And i've got a 20GB iPod that's just a year old, so no upgrade for me yet.

Re: iPod Nano!!!
Never been much of a Preist fan myself, though I did buy British Steel a while back... that's on the iPod now...
"Breakin' the law, Breakin; the law"
Quality!
Can't beat Maiden or
Van Halen
. I have to admit that there's a fair dose of Ynywie on there too... I'm going through a major
Paul Gilbert
phase at the min so got loads of Racer X and Mr Big on there. Infact, off I go to start another post....
I'm actually finding it really usefull for picking parts out of songs. When I'm sat on the bus/train for a while it's nice that I can fast forward/rewind and pick songs apart a bit. I had an iPod shuffle before this, but that was really a passive experience. I'm happy with the nano since I can move around songs really easy.
Good fun. Definatly recomend if you've like me and get stuck on public transport a lot (for too long).

Re: iPod Nano!!!
I couldn't resist and bought one. I've never had an iPod before, but I do like Apple products.
It's the sexiest gadget I've ever seen, and it doubles as a pocket storage device. Trouble is, now I need to spend $190 on Shure e4c headphones, because I simply can't use the ones that came with this thing. They're not that bad, but I've used Sennheiser HD580's for years exclusively and now anything less just pisses me off.
Regardless of this, I think nano will totally rape the competition in digital audio player market, and make Apple a sh**load of money. Good for them.

Re: iPod Nano!!!
the etmyotic 6/6i are alot cheaper and probably as sound effective given the portability thingy. nano has already made "mini competitors" drop prices $75 or more... brilliant move... game over... glen

Bought some 6i's a few months back to let me listen to music on the train without having to deafen myself. They are superb.

Re: iPod Nano!!!
I bought my Mini only two months ago. Now that they replaced it (or are about to) I have to pretend that
- the Mini is small enough. Who could want an iPOD smaller than the mini? It could get lost in your pocket...
- An iPOD has to have a harddrive. Every ordinary MP3-Stick has flash memory.
- Who needs color displays on such small gadgets? I can better view my picture collection on my TFT.
Do I sound stupid or what? ;-)))
I think I have to get a nano for christmas and find an idiot to buy my Mini for a decent price ;-)
THANKS, APPLE!

Re: iPod Nano!!!
does no one eles think the nano is extreeeemly ****, i mean what is the point? the mini is small enough, and no one wants 2gb (4gb at the most) space, i couldnt even fit 1/4 of my album collection on that, the shuffle was bad enough but no they have to make more pointless stuff, ramble ended.
all hail the 60gb ipod!

The Nano is cool and does kinda make the Mini redundant.
I 've got a shuffle and a 20GB and they're both great in different situations. The shuffle is great down the gym because of the size and I like the randomness concept, although I guess its nothing new - CD players have had random fetures since day 1
