Is it safe to drink water....
from the bathroom tap that has been boiled in a kettle as opposed to the kitchen tap
Very strange question but I had to find a cheaper place for rent as it is too expensive living in Hollywood
I am living in a small place with no kitchen so I ask this question

Where are you? California or Ireland?
P. S. If you boil it, it's sterile no matter where it came from.

Re: Is it safe to drink water....
Hollywood....Florida? If so I would say "yes" boil your water. LOL!
I think this depends where in the world you live and if you've lived there long. Tap water is fairly decent, especially considering water sources available to humans thus far. If you're visiting Mexico I would say "no" don't drink the water.
When in doubt, have someone else try it first and observe their reaction.

Re: Is it safe to drink water....
Yeah if you boil it it'll be fine. There should be a way to find out how your neighborhood treats the water . . . and what their limits are for coliforms such as E. coli. Also - the pipes in your house play a part in how clean the water is. If you've got pipes swarming with biofilms you'll have a higher number of organisms in your water . . . and it might be worth it to boil the water. Are you on well water?

Re: Is it safe to drink water....
Dude, unless you live in some exotic place, the water in the kitchen comes from the same pipe as water in the bathroom. And they're both safe to drink. Sure, the water may taste like crap, but if it weren't safe to drink the utility company would go down in flames.

I only ask because I dont want to get sick as I was visiting relatives in hong kong one summer and their tap water is not safe to drink and me being drinking from the tap like I normally do in Ireland drink the water and get sick
And my relatives told me to drink the water from the water dispenser machine thing
I was sick for the whole holiday which sucked

Re: Is it safe to drink water....
Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George pees in the shower. " Pipes are pipes" then Elaine says "different pipes go to different places, You're gonna mess them up"
