It's raining, it's pouring
the old man is snoring,
he went to bed and bumped his head and didn't wake up til morning.

A rainstorm in the desert must be a sight to behold. Are you going to go play in it and splash in the puddles?? I love to play in the rain as long as there is no lightning.

I'm 35 and live in the subtropics where it rains EVERY FRIGGING DAY in the summer and I still enjoy rain storms. Much better than hurricanes I can tell you that.

Re: IT'S RAINING!!!

Summer rainfall here, so I'm really looking forward to the first storms in about September.......

Rain probably isn't the best subject around some Jemsiters at the moment though.

In fact it's been raining a little bit too much here lately.

Re: IT'S RAINING!!!

What I'd give for a day without rain...

It's been raining for weeks. When you think the rain has subsided, think again. In less than 2 hours it'll start again (by assumption). I always have to bring a spare change of socks whenever I go play football, or not even play at all because of the frequent thunderstorms here. I'm lucky that I live in the west-coast, bacause it's twice as worse in the east-coast. And it's not even monsoon season yet...

Like PaW said, peoples' homes and lives are being ruined here, though not as drastic as what's happening in the UK now. Flash floods happen in the capital and residential areas. People that live in these areas lose a lot of their possesions due to the floods. Plus our draining system isn't anywhere near decent.

The draining system in parts of the UK aren't so good either!!!

I have a friend who lives in Gloucester whose house hasn't been flooded but they have had no electricity and will be without running water for 2~3 weeks!

Unbelievable !!

Re: IT'S RAINING!!!

Yeah, try seeing some UK news at the moment

Villages cut off by floods, peoples houses with several feet of water/overflowed sewage in, cars and property destroyed, crops devastated, people without electricity/drinking water.

Rain isn't always good!

Do you guys get the different shades of lightning too? (green and purple) I thought that was the coolest thing when I lived in Arizona.

Aren't you 16? Not for nothing, but I don't think lots of us had high expectations here in that regard.
