I take my name from the car I drive...

I once was runabout76 ('76 Pinto Runabout) <- Hatchback
then I was pinto74 ('74 Wagon)
Then pinto73 ('73 Runabout)
Now pinto79 ('79 Coupe)

For what ever reason I can't seem to get Pinto all by itself...

I had a 2nd '76 once... didn't use a computer much then... That's right! Count 'em FIVE Pintos... who else can say that?

ATDVSBL....well, back when I had a JEM7VSBL, I was going to get a blue swirled body from Darrren to replace the stock sparkle body. However, upon the sale/trade of my VSBL, that project turned into a custom Heatley 7 string with an ocean color ATD swirl and LGM dolphin/mermaid inlay...so I guess the name isn't very relevant now...oh well

The ESP Explorer 351D was my first proper guitar.

Years ago I was huge into Metallica, hence the knock off Hetfield model, I wanted the EX model without the diamond plate, but it's all they had in the UK at the time.

Re: usernames

I'm a great fan of TM Stevens and Shocka Zooloo for quite a while and when I saw him for the very first time in 1998, his string broke and he handed it to me saying "Take my string, babe". The rest is history

in search of my first electric guitar, i called around to find a japanese RG550. One store had one and it was this pinkish color. Dude said it was champagne mist. I think he misinterpreted the color code, which i think is CM in the catalogs, because i have never seen a champagne mist color anywhere. I think it is really coral mist, but, who cares? My axe is just unique i guess...

Re: Jemsite Users Nicknames (usernames) - just curious...

Well, Viper was chosen, cause at the time I was a lot into fighter sims and all, and wanted a cool navy like callsign. I also hapened to have just watched Top Gun. I wasn't going to choose maverick, since everyone was picking that one. I thought of Iceman, but he a bit of an idiot, so I chose the cs of the main instructor, that was Viper the SFM part is just cause plain Viper was already taken here, so I added the initials of the website I moderate and instruct CG: (SciFi-Meshes)

Well, mine doesn't really require an explanation. My playing sucks, and air guitar is the one instrument I truly excel at

Re: Jemsite Users Nicknames (usernames) - just curious...

No special meaning to mine. Hobophobic (Scared of Bums) is the name of a song. It's a really short song that's not all that good from any technical standpoint (But most of the band's stuff has humor as the intent and, in answer to FZ's question for the ages, yes... humor does belong in music. I'm glad he knew that.) but I thought the word "Hobophobic" was funny so I stole it.
