Ok ! First name Marty (Martin) one of my favourite bands is Metallica so hey presto Martallica... there not my favourite band just one ,can't beat a bit of Van Halen .Any who came up with it 8 years ago when trying to come up with an email address, all my mates though it was funny and so it stuck.

I know mine is probably obvious.
Even though I have been a big fan of the JEM series for many years, I really liked the double edge bridges, and the username was available, so it worked out. Also, I gave up hope that a JEM production model would be released with a double edge bridge and bought an RG1820X (which I then hot-rodded).

I haven't watched this thread for a very long time...
Tubarão means SHARK, and it was my nickname for at least 20 years.
SHARK was the name of this 'Hanna Barbera Cartoon' in Brasil:

Now you know where my nickname came from...

Actually, this nickname was given to me when i was a young little noobie musician at church.
When i was 11 years old, i just wanted soooooo hard to be a guitar player, that i just started to ask every musician on church to help me and give me some music lessons.
But none. So then i started to play alone, learning all the songs they played.
In that very year, i got the vinyl version of Passion and Warfare and went nuts!
Not much time later, i was the first guitarist on church doing rock'nroll guitar solos, ala STEVE 'ViA' LOL

Since then, i haven't stopped soloing!!!

Mine is Smashed RG 450 because that's what this guitar was when I got it.
The former owner, or some other d-bag smashed it in the local Wal~Mart parking lot.
(In the town I live in, the cool thing for the kids to do is to hang out at Walmart. It is pathetic.)
The guy who found it and asked if I wanted it, ironically, was nick-named "Kevin smash."

"For the Love of God" is one of Vai's greatest songs, I love the song, and I love "Jems"!!!!

Now I wish I had a cool or freaky story behind my username. Come to think of it, it seems a little borring.

I hate my nickname. It's so cheesey and Clique. and to spell it with a 'z' instead of a 's' makes it even worse. Choosing ' stringz' as a nickname was the second stupidest thing I've done. The first being,, buying St. Anger - Metallica.

mine has come from the nickname i was given in my last 2 bands. I have a love of fret w*****g and so got the nick name from my drummers girlfriend fretboard w****r, which i now use as fretboardpyro.
