As I posted earlier, I just built a system. Got a Sound Blaster POS for cheap that didn't even work properly (would not play DVD or CD Audio right and froze the computer on reboot), so I bought a M-
Audio Audiophile.
The thing is great. It has a RCA in/out on it and an adapter for 2 more for 3/3 inputs/outputs. I have ran my sound out to my receiver for years now, so that's very convienent for me!
Took me 2 hours to crack drivers to be installed on Windows 2003, but it seems well worth it. It plays Audio noticably better than your typical sound blaster or sound blaster copy, and its hardware acceleration is decent enough... plus it's Pro Tools compatible... rock!!!!
I haven't tried to record anything yet. When (or if judging from the major lack of time) I do, I'll post an update on that.
Anyway I had to buy 2 new CPUs for that board.. the 2 CPUs it shipped with were uni-processor CPUs and would not work paired. Sold the hard drive in it and bought a larger one, which I am trying to get to work now. I have some ideas to try when I get home..
