Missing my friend...
A friend of mine got hit by a tractor today and he died in the hospital...I just can't ****in' get it...he was only 25...I wonder what I'll feel like tomorrow. I don't think I want the feeling of surrealism to pass...and I don't know why I'm posting this at all.

Hey man I know how your feeling, my neighbor and good friend just died of leukemia.. and he was only 15, and when I was 12 my mother died of ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease) so I can relate.. I know it sounds stupid and corny, but you really do need to take it one day at a time..

Yeah, that's exactly how I felt a few months ago when I got the call from my sister that our mom had died (heart attack). That numb feeling does go away and it is worse when it does. I can't give any better advice than has already been given. It doesn't get better but it does get easier to deal with eventually.

Re: Missing my friend...
Condolences, Texter. I know what you're going through, and it will get better. I takes a long time, but once you realise that the world really didn't stop turning(as hard as it is to believe), things will get easier.
Love to you, and your friends family,
John
