i never read any of the books and saw 15 minutes of one of the movies...that was enough for me. i'm really happy for the author, and her fame and fortune. my wife keeps reminding me of how the author was poor and a battered wife, and how she wrote the idea down on a napkin in some diner... or however the story goes. i'm glad she is well-off now and doing well. to me, the story is the poor man's watered-down aftershcool special at best. no offense to anyone who likes it. it's just not for me. i got a kick out of seeing all these people standing outside on the news last night, waiting for midnight so they can get their books. all dressed up in cloaks and crap. hey, i'm a huge star wars fan but i'm not going to wear the gear anywhere. don't get me wrong, there are star wars conventions with many odd people as well. have you seen triumph, the dog, at the star wars convention? hilarious! i joke with my wife saying i will go to the last movie, the last 10 minutes of it...just to see the main characters get slaughtered...since i hear someone is supposed to get it. she hates that since she is on top of these books like there is no tomorrow. i need to think of some story to write and get some following with a massive bank account.
triumph....one clip of many:
