My most expensive concert ever

Steve Vai and the Breed, April 15, 2005
St Paul, Minnesota

Concert ticket: $38
Airfare: $900
T shirt: $25
program: $15

Seeing Vai perform in a small venue and talking with him afterwards:.........

Well, ok, not quite priceless, but pretty damn cool. Thank god for mastercard LOL!!!

Great show, long too, Vai's band played for 2 and a half hours. Very cool to see Steve rip it up with Billy again, Dave and Tony did some wicked playing too and Colson is a monster on the drums.

Ok, the airfare wasn't JUST for the concert, the best part of my trip was getting to see my best friend again, been 8 months since I last saw her and that is just far to long. It was a really short trip, but it was a great one!

Thanks to Mikey for the aftershow passes and thanks to Steve for putting on a great show!

Glad you had a great time, and got to see your friend!

I'll be bummed for the rest of my life, that I couldn't make it to the Buffalo show...

Re: My most expensive concert ever

I went to see NIN in London recently and one of the people I was supposed to be going with backed out leaving me with his ticket, which he hadn't paid for (won't be doing that for him again!).

I put the ticket on 3bay to try and recoup my cash and at the time didn't realise the gig had sold out in 15 minutes!

Anyway, the ticket ended up selling for £335 (over $600 U.S.)!!!!!!!!!!!

The guy who bought it was from the U.S. too so by the time he flew over to the U.K. and with the price of the ticket it must have cost him a fortune.

His most expensive gig ever, my cheapest!

Everytime you charge something to master card an angle looses its wings and falls to their death. Same thing happens if you listen to a rap CD.

That's cool, you get to see one of your best mates and see and talk to vai, fair play. I've always said if Racer X are ever playing again in the states i'm gonna pay what ever it akes to get out there and see them, although I think a ticket from london to LA could cost a lot more, lol.

Well, air fares are droppping all the time. It would be expensive, but not as much as you would probably think. Seeing Racer X would be damn cool.
