Wow! Those pics are amazing! What kind of spider is that? What camera did you use?

Looks quite similar to the 7-legged spider that's been living in my room for the past two weeks or so...

answers are, 1) a big one, and 2) a big one..
seriously, its a common all garden house spider, and the camera is a nikon d200 w/ a 105mm macro lens..

Beautiful! The details are amazing!
I love the design on it's thorax! That would make a cool tatoo!

Re: My new lodger, another piccy thread? Yea!!
There's friggin' loads of these spiders around at the moment, especially in my house. They suddenly appeared when the weather got drier.
I don't know how he lost that leg. Doesn't seem to bother him though, he's been busy making various webs around the room. Some have been pretty mental, like stretching a good two metres from the TV to the windowcill! My venus flytrap gets most of the fly action though. Needless to say, I don't have many problems with flies in here
I didn't even notice he had seven legs until my girlfriend pointed it out, and I had been taking pictures of it all evening! I guess I'm not too observant...

It's September - I've noticed that the little boogers always try to get into the house around this time.
