that's not really new... it was announced a year ago... it is nice since it has a CMOS sensor (not the typical CCD) that is pretty large for it's 6MP making for good light collecting & clean higher iso pics. I don't see a useful general purpose for the hi-speed mode though (which is very low res) and the cost is brutal for a fixed lens camera at $999.
I was gonna post this new body for Shred/steve as it's also CMOS 1080p and also now offers RAW file output for stills
