Nintendo DS

Hi guys, it's time for Jono's strange question of the day!!!

Today's question is... Does a Nintendo DS have "region" coding like a DVD player?

i.e. if I buy a Nintendo DS in the USA can I buy games for it in the UK - and more importantly... will they work on my American DS?

And what good games are there out there?

Thanks
Jono

Re: Nintendo DS

Yes I believe they will work. I'm pretty sure no game boy of any type ever had any region coding.

As for good DS games...

I've got:

Mario 64 DS
Zelda: The phantom hourglass
Mario Kart DS
Diddy Kong Racing
Worms 2

And all of em are great.

Worms, Diddy Kong and Mario Kart are especially great when playing multiplayer.

Re: Nintendo DS

There's no region coding on game carts. All you need to be concerned about is the different voltage needed for the battery charger.

Re: Nintendo DS

Youre good with DS in any region, I think. I loved True Swing golf as a time waster- very underrated!

Re: Nintendo DS

Thanks guys, I'm going to look into one for the wife and I to take on trips and such. I'm fairly sure I can pick up a new transformer/charger here so I'm not too worried about that angle - as far as I know the DS itself is the same internally (I'll let you know iif it's not )
