Re: Obama - Officially next preident of the USA.
My bad, I thought I heard both were but little difference, he would have been screwed as president and never made a second term. I think it's better at this point to just give all the power to one party and we'll see what they got.

I am hopeful that there are good things to come but we shall see.
What really needs to happen is that we need to get away from the two party system and allow independents a voice but that is probably the ONLY issue on which Dems and Repubs agree on, not letting anyone else get a voice that could challenge both of their power holds.
Here you go Dems, let's see what you got... (crosses fingers for luck...)
Just leave my damn guns alone! Thats all I ask

Our country has entered a new age.An age of possibility. The world was watching and we have transcended.I have always been proud to be American and today more than ever.
No matter who you voted for ,we can come to one conclusion.
We have been part of and witnessed an important part in history.
We have a lot of work to do on the economy, energy, social issues and security.
So lets roll up our sleeves and get to work!
We are Americans.

Also, this should put to bed (or prove correct) the rumours that Bin Laden is physically ailing or even dead. I'm sure a tape will surface sooner or later and you can guarantee that if he IS alive then it'll most definitely be aimed at the new president. Obviously Bin Laden isn't the be-all/end-all of terrorism but hopefully you get my point.
Like I say, this isn't me being cynical, I just hope that U.S. citizens don't become complacent for a second.
An attack will probably happen soon. There's usually always an attack shortly after a new president is elected ('93 WTC bomb, 9/11, etc...).

The question, is, whether or not those are attacks from actual anti-American terrorist groups, or something that the world and especially Americans deserve an in depth explanation of.

Hollybush was litteraly 2 blocks from my house. He flew up in Marine 1, landed right on the grounds. After the Summit he walked the fenceline [there was a LOT of "spectators" trying to just get a look at him, this is big stuff for Glassboro!] shaking hands and I was one of the lucky ones. I was small, but he was a BIG man with BIG hands. At least that's the impression in memory.
I got to slap box with Mohamed Ali right around that time, but that's for another thread

i wouldn't want that. long term if the minority group (republicans in jan) filibuster & stall progress then we simply need to vote them out of office. obama will have 4 more elections in this regard and his performance will go a long ways toward correcting washington or keeping the same, corrupt status quo.

No offense but whoever is thinking about this and guessing needs to grow a pair and stop living in such fear and whatnot. it's almost embarrasing to read.
Then lookup USA born and bred US Military veteran Timothy McVeigh.
The bombing killed 168 people, and was the deadliest act of terrorism within the United States prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Well, let's see, we've got a bunch of free loading, money spending clowns who costs us many millions a year in tax dough and a government that basically does nothing. Wait a minute now...that government is also a bunch of free loading, money spending clowns that costs us many millions a year.. There's no much difference, is there?
Oh well, I'm sure there will be a time in which Holland will hit rock bottom as well and then maybe something good will finally happen.
Meanwhile, it's absolutely spectacular to watch Obama's victory. It's history being made right now.
He's got a huge and for some part very ugly job to do, but I'm positive he'll do it and then some.

just talking about it imho is being fearful and
it is really inappropriate in the thread
. speculate about some possible, random violence. i mean a small bomb went off in Atlanta during the olympics in what '96.
i'm not singling you out as you're not even in the USA and can't experience or get a feel for it... glen
