As of right now, 338 electoral votes to 155. Barack needed 270 to win.

I'm UK, but I'm very glad of the result...if not because of the landmark, but just because it means Palin isn't VP. The womans a menace to all intelligent thought IMO.

My father, a history teacher, would have loved this, as it is very exciting historically...

He died 3 years ago, and always said he didn't think he'd live to see either a black or woman President...

A change is coming boys and girls...

I'm happy that it's over. And I'm extremely optimistic about the future.

McCain gave a really nice speech at the end. I wasn't surprised though by the childish booing and whining from the crowd. McCain deserves better supporters than that.
