Rupert is an evil man.

All I can say is, I'm glad he renounced his Australian Citizenship and became a US Citizen....

No, we don't want him back, thanks......

When I turn 21, I'm renouncing my US citizenship.

I'm moving to the UK or Australia or some other place.

I think the story is correct.

I watched it and I'm completely messed up. I now sing every morning when I put my shoes on and wear cardigan sweaters. Mr. Rogers was an evil bastard.

I used to love Mr. Rogers, and I have a psychiatrist, a therapist, and am on several different medications.

Wait, bad example.

Re: Oh For Christ's Sake!

Let me see if I've got this..... Mr. Rogers "influenced" a generation for an hour a day Monday through Friday and they became spoiled losers? And the other 23 hours a day was spent doing what, with who?

Did I post that??? I'm sorry, I can't help it, It's all because I watched Captain Kangaroo!

Re: Oh For Christ's Sake!

That's the problem today. The parents of this generation SUCK!

They're always so quick to medicate their kids and blame all of their bad parenting on others.

A perfect example would be Columbine. If the parents had taken some initiative, and interest in their kids' lives, maybe they would have figured out what was going on. And then, after all that, they blamed it on Marilyn Manson, Zoloft and Doom. Where were the parents?

I'm 16, and I think I was raised the right way. When I did something wrong, I got my ass whooped. My parents didn't ground me, or sit down and talk about it, or medicate me. And I think I've turned out better than the vast majority of my generation.

I had to rant. That's just the way I feel.

Yeah.....no doubt!!!! Me too!! But with today's "touchy" society, all the kid has to do is say

"Daddy spanked me" and then the dad goes to jail and the kid gets a twinkie and pat on the back

If seizures are cool.

But I'm not even joking. America is going down the toilet, and it's not taking me with it.

Well I'm only 16, and my parents did it anyway. There were no if's, and's or but's. If I did something wrong, I got my ass beat raw.

I don't know what happened to America, but this country is a joke now. There are some 40 million Americans without health care, a massive group of illegal immigrants, and some of the worst crime rates in the world.

Don't get me wrong on the whole immigration thing. My grandfather was an immigrant from Russia, who came to the US with intention of finding a job and starting his life anew. I can't say that much for modern immigrants, and I'll just leave it at that.

And don't you even get me started on politicians. I think they should all be thrown into a... Nevermind.

And please, political correctness can go die.

Am I the only person who thinks the term "African American" is far more offensive than "Black"?

Yes, but not all parenting methods work with all kids. Some kids need corporal punishment, some don't, and some suffer emotional scars from it. My dad used to spank me all the time. It did nothing other than make me be terrified of him. I still misbehaved. So, he started whipping me with his belt. Bad idea. More of the same. Eventually, he realized with the help of my mom that corporal punishment had no effect on me whatsoever, and simply instilled within me fear and hate. So he switched to the ever-popular form of punishment known as grounding, but with his own cruel twists, such as being grounded indefinitely until meeting a certain goal, which may or may not be realistic. It kinda works.
