Where did it break and what kind of guitar? You do know you have five other strings you can play on right?

Don't be so upset man. A mere 99 cents or so can buy you a string to replace it's fallen brother, and then you can go back to wailin'

I'm afraid that guitar is beyond repair. Best build an enormous funeral pyre and send it off to Valhalla.

Re: oh man im ashamed.

I know the OP might be joking but being scared to play the guitar for fear of breaking strings is not good. If your playing style is gentle then fine - but if you're holding yourself back then that's definitely uncool in my book

Manowar... God help us...

To the problem at hand I think elcid said it quite well.

My beloved's first string breakage led to a bout of tears - her father has been playing for 40 odd years, so you'd think she'd know they can be changed and the guitar doesn't have to be trashed. Mind you, he plays with a wafer-thin sharkfin and hadn't changed a string since the early 70s until we gave him a family pack for Christmas and suggested he get all technical*.

Not only is Manowar always serious, they're always at the forefront of fashion.

*I'm keeping him sweet so I can get hold of his '64 J-bass.
