Our son...our first

Luke Anthony Rotter was born 5/9/2008 at 8:35pm. 7lbs. 5oz. Both mom and baby are fine. No complications. He cried very little: first 10 seconds actually. He slept through the entire first night without a sound and has not cried all day Saturday or Sunday as of yet. We hope it stays that way. Jessica and Luke will be home today, Sunday afternoon...on mother's day...weird. It was cooler than I thought being in the room with the delivery, and it's still surreal to me. I'm excited but in neutral waters. It hit me but hasn't hit me. We have to get the dogs acclimated to him. The nurse was really great, she stayed 3 hours overtime to be there until the end. I was really surprised to see how much work she did! She did it all...until the very end when the baby's head was crowning...then she callled the doctor and he showed up for the last 5 minutes.

And as bammbamm reminds me, someday, when he misbehaves, I will have to say, "LUKE....I'M YOUR FATHER!!!" haha

He's a beautiful baby. Congrats and I hope your wife gets some rest, LOL

But ,let your wife know she only has 17 more to knock out, so she can catch up with "Ole Clown Car" in Arkansas.

thanks guys. i will support him in whatever he wants to do, within reason, and hopefully it will be some form of the arts. i hope he takes an appreciation to them in a huge way. hopefully the atmosphere in the house will rub off on him. would be cool to jam with him someday. 18 kids! insane. 1 is enough for me now!
