I hear ya! Initially I would have had said the same, but they don't need to cheat and I think they made a statement that they don't need to either. The way they destroyed teams this year! Believe me, I'm not a fan, and I wish they would have dropped off after the first game in which they were cheating, but they didn't! I think they are that good unfortunately! Go Packers, Colts, Jaguars, or Cowboys...in that order!

But they will be 19-0.

I hope someone does it for him! But, simply, I hope a team just down right beats them! 16-1, 17-1, or 18-1...well than the regular season 16-0 means very very very little, basically nothing, except that a team went undefeated in the regular season.

I'm sick of all the stupid theories people have about the Patriots cheating. Even if I didn't like the team, I would probably start liking them just because the moron masses are so anti-New England.

If you notice, most people who coached in the NFL don't care about the cheating. People figure your plays out all the time just by watching film. When Ben Watson drops into a fullback position behind the guard, I know the pats are going to do a screen his way. Everyone does. But if they do a better job blocking and call that play when the other team is showing a huge blitz, it's going to be a big play. You can know every play the other team is going to call in order, but you still have to out-perform.

Also - I hope the Patriots go 19-0 and when the sideline reporter asks Brady what he wants to do next, he needs to say "I'm going to Disney World - to take a poop on Don Shula's doorstep." I can't wait to see that smug old jerks face when his precious 72 Dolphins are no longer the only undefeated NFL champs.

If it wasn't a big deal cheating, taping the other teams defensive signals, then why did they do it? Even after they were warned about it, they still did it, and I have no reason not to believe they are still doing it. Bill Bellacheat is a complete crumb. I think it will be the Cowboys will knock them off in the Super Bowl. The last time they played them, they were missing several major players like Newman, and Glenn and didn't even have Tank on defense.

Don Shula has WAY MORE class than Bellichek EVER will...Shula didn't even have the technology back then to be able to cheat at the level avalible today. His perfect season was done with more pure talent. I'm not a dolphins fan, I just think Shula had more integrity....and btw, there isn't a little "asterisk" beside the dolphins name in the record book, but in people's minds, there will ALWAYS be an "asterisk" next to the patriots. No matter what, the patriots will ALWAYS have that mark aginst them...

There is huge money in the NFL.. Big enough that there is no team out there looking to get an advantage.. It's the Pat's that got caught, so many NFL players confirmed that "some teams they have played on have done it". So a guy that has played for 3 teams can honestly say, yes it happens.
Are they the best team in history? Maybe.
Will they win the Superbowl? I doubt it. They started the first half of the season smoking hot, and they've have gotten very very cool now. They have a crap running game and an ancient defense that is good and tired right now. When Jacksonville or the Colts gets ahold of them it's going to be tough, they only barely beat the Colts when they were on top of their game let alone now. Hopefully the week of rest will revitalize them and they will Win the Superbowl.
I'm a Bears fan, and I would LOVE to see New England win the Super Bowl. I hate the Dolphins '72 team. I don't know how they could stand being around Mercury Morris for a whole season while that was going on.... I think that Bellicheck and crew will be a much more Classy, updated, and BETTER version of the greatest NFL team ever.. If they can win the Super Bowl (which I hope that they do).

I don't think Shula has much class. Maybe 35 years ago, but not today. Popping the champagne every time the last team gets a loss, going on national broadcasts to cheer against an undefeated team... no class. It's tired and childish. Hank Aaron graceful applauded losing his storied record to one of the most hated men in pro sports, yet Shula jumps up and down like a little kid at Christmas every time his over-hyped record is preserved. No class. Oh, what's a better display of talent, beating a bunch of mediocre teams by slim margins or outscoring your opponents (including all the best teams in the league minus Green Bay and Jacksonville) by 315 points?

Either way, I think it's funny that people always judge Belichick by the way he acts with reporters... yet lots of "respected" folks say what a great friend and personable/funny guy he is. Personally, I think it's amusing that he is a jerk on camera and always is trying to beat the system. I understand most people like the hero, so be it.

Interesting it was. I give the Jags all the credit in the world....they came in
with a good game plan and Garrard and his receivers had a good game,but
the Pats were up to the challenge. Good game from the Jags though.

I don't think the Chargers have a chance in Hell to beat Indy,so it's gonna
be great when the Colts come in here to play their last game of the season
next week.
