The Illinois State Mobile Tax Collectors bagged me twice in one week's time.
I have a Valentine One detector and the 1st one was Laser, you have a narrow window to pickup on laser if they are hitting the car in front of you and you react perfectly (happened for me twice) This time, no chance, they were shooting from an overpass and had 10 cars waiting to pull over the speeders.
2nd one, I have NO flippin' clue how she tapped me, radar didn't go off, and there she was on my tail. All on drives that are 150 miles each way for me and I was late for a surgery later that day.
End of the quarter and they have to make their numbers. F***ers.
LUCKILY, this was WAY outside Chicago's city limits and they are only 75$ tickets. Within city limits, forget it, you're talking double or triple that depending on the location and cop. My recommendation for anyone who gets a ticket, get a lawyer and fight it to at least stay off your record. worth the money. We have Hyatt legal service which is like a Legal HMO, you have an issue, you call in a claim # and they set up a lawyer for you for a nominal monthly fee, like $14/mo. great for traffic tix, simple legal affairs like will and estate planning, etc.
