QB Steve McNair found shot to death

What a crazy couple of weeks.

Steve McNair has been found shot to death.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Former NFL MVP Steve McNair(notes) has been shot and killed.

Titans owner Bud Adams confirmed the quarterback’s death in a brief statement released Saturday.

Adams called him “one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans. He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl.”

McNair led the Titans within a yard of forcing overtime in the 2000 Super Bowl.

Found shot to death along with some chick who wasn't his wife in an upscale apartment. Whoops.

Of course, for all I know it was his cousin, sister, etc. Could have been a robbery gone wrong, or a jilted lover (of the girl), etc etc.

What a tragic waste of a great athlete. Seemed like he was a pretty cool guy too.

I hadn't heard this yet. First they lose a few in a boat wreck, and now this.

Now they are saying he was shot multiple times and she had a single gun shot wound in the head. But they are stopping just short of calling it a murder/suicide. Sounds like she wanted more than to be a booty call. He arrived at the apartment at like 2 in the morning and she was already there.
