Question for computer people
Im trying to play a downloaded version of Warcraft II on my Windows 2000 PC, which doesnt run DOS alone. From what I understand, Warcraft should run in windows, but when I try to run it, I get a "Music card not found" error and it shuts down.
Now I can run it in "DOSBox", which as you may know is an MS-DOS emulator. It works, but its very slow. Unplayable. I've tried overclocking and skipping frames on it but its still too slow when I have a large group starting to grow.
First off, does anyone know how I can get it to run in Windows directly? I assume it would run fast enough. DOSBox is supposed to slow down games or something.
Is it maybe the copy I found and downloaded?? Im willing to shell out the 10-15 bucks I can buy it for on **** if it will work, but I want to be sure.
Anyways Im out of ideas and I like the game because of how much I played it when it came out. Any help would be great, thanks guys!
