R.I.P. Special Effects Master Stan Winston :(

We just lost one of the greatest pioneers in the film industry since the addition to sound and color. His work made the films, it wasn't about the actors or even the story, it was his artistic talents that turned good films into extraordinary films, and extraordinary films in unforgettable films.

I had no idea who he was till I saw his filmology. That is an impressive resume'. It sounds like he will surely be missed.

He brought my favorite book to life; Jurassic Park! I couldn't believe what I was seeing when Rex walked out of that paddock in the first film.
Not to mention the surpise of Preadator or those amazing visuals in Terminator and Aliens. I know he didn't write or direct these fims, but he had a big role in making them as well-known as they are today. And a lot of the effects still hold up!
RIP Stan!

Absolute legend, his work was always at the cutting edge. Heaven's going to be full of charging T-Rex for the rest of eternity!
