Removing a stereo from a 1993 corolla


How?

Me and my sister cannot seem to find a way, and Im getting sick of only have a tape player and a radio that doesnt work.

Ive found one site that has instructions, but they want ye to pay for em - Thought Id ask our knowledgable members here before trying that.

Lol that might work, but he hasn't put a CD player in it yet. It would be pretty sad if a thief stole a tape player out of a car, but then again they aren't the brightest of folks...

Should of known I'd get that kinda answer, Damo.

Problem solved now. It just needed a show of strength.

Next problem - taking out screws that havn't been moved since the car was made.

Maybe if it's that bad they'll steal the car and leave the radio!

Put Q20 or any lubricant on the screws, leave for a few hours, repeat. I usually do this and it takes a while but it works... eventually

it sounds like you need some removing hooks, http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/ca/...-deinstall.jpg

you should be able to get them in places like halfords, even in the fens!!!!!!!!!
