Robbing bar stewards

Amongst my morning delivery of post (including the strap locks you only posted yesterday Max - thanks!!) was a lovely letter from the robbing gits at Parcel Force.

I've just been stung £24.22 duty on a parcel (don't mind paying that bit really) but another £8 'ParcelForce Clearance Fee'

Apparently this 'fee' is to cover the actual collection of the duty on behalf on HM Customs.

I've googled and seen that other folk have suffered and are generally p*ssed off at the hands of this blatant profiteering

Perhaps, next time I'll try what this guy did http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=351900

This really has wound me up.... I feel a letter to Postwatch coming on...

Tell me about it.

It's even worse on guitars (can't remember off the top of my head but think it's about £18.50 on top.) Any support you need with it, I'll back you up.

Re: Robbing bar stewards

You know you were saying that you get stung on every inbound delivery....

I've just had 3 deliveries from the states - 1 body and 2 lots of assorted pups / pickaguards / hardware / accessories all of which had accurate values ($123, $120, $87) on the green customs slips and not one got stung for duty.

Not as though I'm complaining about it I just do not understand why some parcels get through and some don't.

I believe anything over £18 is lible for duty but I've just had parcels for a combined $330 and not a sniff of a pull from HM Customs.

I'm a bar steward and robbing me isn't easy... unless your name is PayPal, e-Bay, Parcelforce, etc.
