I disagree in the respect that even if the Sox were to sweep the series, that wouldn't diminish, in my mind, the fact that the Rockies are a great team. I wouldn't necessarily think it was a fluke, just that things didn't go their way.

I agree they're a good young team.....and I don't think they'll go into
turtle mode per se. I do however see them going down in 5 or 6.

Like I said earlier, game 2 is huge.......if the Sox win,it'll be over in 5 IMO.
In October experience and poise is a huge factor. Also,Boston has the
decided edge in pitching.

The Rocks do however have ALOT of really good young position players.
I don't think they're ready to take out a team like the Redsox.......who
are vastly superior to the Phillies or Dbacks, but I think they're the best
team in the NL west. The Dodgers,Padres, and Diamondbacks have some
catching up to do.

Oh I'm no insinuating that at all my good man No misunderstanding at all

If anything it seems like you're (almost) on our side I was just quoting your post and talking about the fact that NO ONE gives the Rox a chance. You know......the "we've never faced a batting lineup or pitching like this, AL kills the NL" talk, etc.

We'll see! Hopefully the Rox have the "rocks" to make it an exciting series

I know what you mean. When Florida won against the mighty Yankees in 2003 it was the most exciting baseball I'd ever seen! We were such underdogs and with a teams of nobodys compared to the Yankess and their big bank roll players, but our boys played with heart and beat those bad boys and it was GREAT!!! Of course they had to go and dismantle the team afterwards and mess it all up but that's another story, but it's nice to see some Florida boys on the Red Sox team anyway! I have mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand I'd like to see the Rockies win it because it would just be so cool to see them have their day in the sun, but on the other, I would like to see the Sox win too just so they can be absolutely certain that the curse is over! I'll be happy for either team though honestly. But hey..maybe if the Sox win they can buy Youkilis a sweat band or something.

I just know anything can happen. And you can't count ANY team out that's made it this far...Especially against the Red Sox. After Game 4 of the last series, I wasn't feeling very optimistic.

Absolutely! I want the Sox to win, but it's better for fans and the game, IMO, if we have series that's close and exciting that either team can win. I love series that are decided in the 7th game ~ the later the better!

You know, you can still see a majority of that 2003 Marlins team in Detroit. At least, a lot of the players that matter. Just thought I would point that out...
