LOL.....I wish I could claim some of the credit, but this was just a case of the
better team coming out on top. To give the Rockies credit, they made a nice
run in the 6th and the 7th,but Fuentes couldn't keep the door shut.

Hopefully the Sox can close it out tomorrow. I'd like to see John Lester get
the win in the clincher........he was diagnosed with cancer last year. It was
an impressive accomplishment for him to even be pitching in the big leagues
this season.....let alone being in position to close out the World Series.

The Rox are a good team.......IMO if they get themselves some pitching
help in the off season,I think they can be REALLY scary next year. For me
one of the sweetest things about this is the handful of guys at work who
are Yankees fans are really morose.........I love morose Yankees fans!!!
It's particularly hilarious to see them start wearing their NY Giants hats in
the first week of October!!

Far be it for me to kick a man when he's down. Atleast you know they tried and if the last 3 games are any kind of indication the next one will be a closer loss, before they get blown out in game 5.

I think everyone who is not a Yankees fan is a big fan of morose Yankees fans. I still blame your Red Sox for the reason the Tigers didn't make the playoffs. If they would have swept the Yanks their last series, we would have been there.
(Yes, I know it really wasn't the Sox fault. But I'm in denial.)

Yeah, they were in their rest for key personell mode.....trying to get ready
for the playoffs. Believe me,I wanted to see them stick the dagger in the
Yanks in a big way there. The Tigers will be back though....I think they'll
be good for awhile. Good lineup,Real good pitching....losing Zumaya hurt
them quite a bit this year. And Verlander.....man he's nasty!!

Not only did we lose Zoom, we lost Kenny, too. It hurts the pitching staff to not have our best lefty being able to pitch. Not to mention we seem to have aquired our own curse for the team. Last year we were on track to have the best record of all time in baseball. Then we fell apart after the All-Star break. Same thing this year. My friends and I are calling it the All-Star Break Curse. I think I count this season as a failure, considering we went to the World Series last year, and didn't even make the playoffs this year.

Up until a few years ago, I was actually thinking about switching my allegiance to the BoSox. I was just embarassed to be a Tigers fan anymore. Just think, if the Tigers wouldn't have gotten better, I'd be on your side now.

EDIT: Upon ready Zoom's bio on Wiki, it would seem that nobody throws faster and more consistently. He was Clocked at 104 mph.

Is that irony? I thought it would be coincidence. Well, I guess it would really depend on who wins the World Series...

Re: Rockies!

Well....it's over. Hated to miss it because of work....occupational hazard
I guess. That was a great game for sure,I'm glad to see Lester get the win.
You're right about Fuentes Jim,I don't know what Hurdle was thinking not
bringing in his closer there......trying to save him so he'll be nice and rested
for that first intrasquad game in Arizona next spring??

Looking forward,I'd like to see the Sox re sign Lowell......Schilling too even.
I don't really see many holes in the roster that need to be addressed during
the offseason. As for the Rockies,I think they need to tweak their pitching
staff some, but as far as the positional players go,they have a real solid team.
Being from an AL east market we don't get to see the NL west much, but after
seeing them upclose,I think they're pretty impressive.

As for our wager Jim....don't worry about it. I'm happy enough with the win
in the series, and getting to talk a little baseball.(next to guitars,my favorite
topic!!) Now as for the Broncos......I wont be so kind.....I really don't like
the Broncos.......LOL!!

Wait...I didn't just say that! How about Green Bay will win tomorrow

Reverse Mojo

and Ube, we bet and I'll make good on it! Don't be stubborn!! I've had enough of stubborn people lately....trust me

Look out for the ~ROX~ and the ~SOX~ next year
