Anybody watching this show? The house band guitarist sounds pretty good. His name is Rafael Moreira.

i don't think anyone watches this show. too much hype about nothing. looks like another big media thing trying to get ratings.

Of course it's another big thing trying to get ratings, but at least you hear people singing with a pretty good houseband, and not just backing tracks. It's more entertaining than a lot of the other stuff on tv.

I've seen it once, IMHO, it's just more corporate neutering of rock 'n roll. "Look, the boy/girl next door can be a rock star!" I miss the days when rock stars were bigger than life, it gave it that mystique and coolness.

Oh yeah, talent, that's another thing I miss. Some of the singers on there are pretty good, and the house band is good, but the show doesn't do much for me.

i dont like the show... i dont mean to be sexist or something but for a rock band like that a girl just wouldnt suit it.

Pathetic show in the way of true music. Far, far to corporate. Plus, Dave Navaro has continued to live off his image, and be a complete Butt-puppet.

...who is dave navarro. yeah exactly. i see the guy on the show and he's an idiot to me. he's got this high and mighty thing goin' on. dude, i never heard of you. sure i have been living in a cave the last few years as far as music goes but that's cuz "music" and talent today is rare. even if you are the best in the world you're an idiot! best or worst, don't have an attitude. you all know what i'm sayin'. it's mainly political cotton-candy ram - this - new - song we just recorded in an hour down your throat! the kids will love it till the next american idol comes along. as someone said above, back in the day it was cool....band members met and they pursued it all together, making it big together. a family unit with talent. now all you have to do is show up and sing better than anyone else and whammo, you have a record deal and you're on tour and they assign musicians to you. hey, there are great singers out there BUT it's too artificial....just add water.

Dave used to be cool back in the early Janes Addiction days, which was a great band back then.

While we're on the subject of Dave Navarro, did anyone catch todays show with Dave playing his new signature PRS. First time I ever saw a white PRS. Very nice.

I actually like the show. Is much better than Idol as the contestants can play, sing and actually write their own material. "trees", a song written by one of the singers, is very good and should be released.

IMO it is what Idol should have been
